I love this place. Everyone that works here is so nice, I've never regretted anything on the menu, and the menu is huge. Singapore noodles are my favorite. I actually drive from German Village just to come here, that's how much I love it.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. There was metal in my curry, they sloppily put all of my food together and it leaked in the bag and they forgot part of my order.
The scary thing is the metal though. It's about 2 inches long and shredded. Maybe they are using dirty or old cookware.
I should also note that their version of "spicy" is super bland, watery curry. Yuck. -

Still looking for a Thai restaurant and Yelp showed me to here. Mostly Chinese, but does have phad thai. Also has chive dumplings, steamed. Asked about the spice and was told that it was more sweet than hot.
Quickly made and portions large enough to get 2 meals. The phad thai and dumplings were good for fast food place. Didn't find out until I was talking to the server that they had another type of chive dumplings on the weekends that is more like I was wanting. Will have to come back to try those.
Gentleman behind the counter told me about others places to try and even wrote down addresses for me. The food was even better warmed up for my supper. Because of the quality and the friendiness of the staff, I will be back.
Took star off for not having fountain pop and only having Pepsi products. -

Ordered through a delivery service. I love that you can order a serving of plain lo mein for only $3.00. It really comes in handy when you have leftover entrees. The steamed dumplings were a bit clunky and I personally didn't enjoy their flavor. I was most disappointed by the wor sue gai. I was expected a chicken cutlet, but it was really just the same chicken used for sweet & sour chicken. Mongolian beef had an incredible amount of onions in it. It was probably an entire onion, sauce, and minimal amounts of beef. I think I'll stick to lo mein, if I order from them again.

The reviews for this are up and down, and it seems like there have been ownership changes over the years. I actually put off stopping here because it seemed so uneven. But then yesterday I was nearby, wanting Chinese, but in too much of a hurry to go to Joey Chang's or another nice place. So, Asian Express. I was prepared to be disappointed- and I was not.
It is tiny. You get plasticware and canned pop, never my favorite accoutrements. But it is clean, and comfy, with friendly service, and surprisingly good food. I got my usual comparo dishes, crab Rangoon and Mongolian beef (hey, neither are Chinese, but they give me a starting point for comparisons.) The menu is pretty small, but I saw several other things I'd like to try. They even had interesting specials, and some spicy wings that sounded good.
The Rangoons were pretty standard: cheesy, with small bits of "krab." The Mongolian beef was a huge portion, with tender beef, lots of onions, and a sauce that was less soy-tasting than standard. Almost sweet, very pale. They asked if I wanted it spicy and I said yes; I saw a few red pepper flakes, but it was not spicy at all. Still good, though. Sided with good, but plain, fried rice (no veggies or egg.)
All in all, I had a good experience. Good food, plenty of it, with good service at reasonable prices. And it seemed to be made with love. Is it amazing, authentic Chinese? No. But it is pretty darn good for a little strip mall place. I will file this away for future visits.
